New York, April 2026 —
SYS (Stretch Your Story) hosted two yoga sessions at Sky Ting (@skyting) — the NoHo-based studio that has shaped New York's yoga culture since Krissy Jones (@krissy_jones) founded it in 2015. Known for its considered spaces, non-dogmatic teaching philosophy, and a community of practitioners who take their practice seriously, Sky Ting has built something rare in this city. A wellness community defined not by who attends, but by the quality of what it offers. SYS is drawn to exactly that standard.
Across two classes — April 28 and May 1 — the sessions wove together the primary traditions Sky Ting draws from: Vinyasa flow, Katonah Yoga, and breathwork. Yoga at this level is a practice of continuous, nuanced demand. It asks for stability in stillness, freedom in transition, and a fabric that never pulls focus from either.
DESIGN, RITUAL, AND THE LANGUAGE OF MOVEMENT
Led by Krissy Jones and Beth Cooke (@bethcooke_flow), each session moved through fluid sequences rooted in alignment, breath-led transitions, and the kind of technical clarity that defines Sky Ting's approach. The practice is not about intensity — it is about precision, presence, and the deeper intelligence of how the body organizes itself in space.
The sessions brought together Sky Ting community members and dedicated yoga practitioners — people already fluent in the language of intentional movement. For SYS, this was the right room: a community that would feel the difference in what they wore, and know exactly why it mattered.
FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION: THE BUTTERMELT™ PERFORMANCE CONNECTION
Yoga's demands are quiet but uncompromising. A deep hip opener requires fabric that releases with the body rather than resisting it. A held warrior sequence asks for compression that supports without constricting. Inversions and transitions demand that nothing shifts, rides, or distracts from the shape being built.
To meet the practice where it lives, all attendees were gifted a full ButterMelt™ set — enabling an immediate, lived experience of SYS's proprietary fabric technology within the exact context it was designed for.
Developed and precision-engineered in Korea, ButterMelt™ is built around the body's most subtle movement intelligence.
Its adaptive stretch and 'barely-there' finish responded to the full range of Sky Ting's sequences — from grounded floor work and deep hip folds to standing flows and breath-led transitions — without interruption or adjustment. The ButterMelt™ Mid-Rise Legging 25" offered the uninhibited mobility that long holds and slow transitions require, moving with the body through each shape rather than against it. The ButterMelt™ All Day Bra provided consistent, responsive support from dynamic flow sequences through stillness in savasana — present enough to perform, quiet enough to disappear. Nothing competed with the practice. The fabric simply moved with it.
CRAFT RECOGNIZES CRAFT
Two mornings. Two sessions. The same intention running through both. Sky Ting was chosen for reflecting the same values SYS brings to every collaboration: design that serves the practice, community that is deeply invested, and a standard that doesn't compromise. That alignment doesn't happen by accident. For SYS, this is what showing up in New York actually looks like.
